Pearl Bouton
(Mrs. Floyd H. Bouton)
In addition to her years of service with the Junior Service Guild/Chandler Service Club, Mrs. Bouton served as President of the Chandler Women’s Club, and as Captain and Director of Heart Fund Drives in Chandler. Her husband, Floyd H. Bouton, was a Mason, president of Chandler's Junior Chamber of Commerce and was cashier and insurance department manager at Dr. A.J. Chandler’s Bank of Chandler until it closed in 1932. He later served as a Clerk for the Salt River Valley Water Users' Association (which now operates under the umbrella of SRP). The Boutons also were active in the Chandler Methodist Church. For many years, Mr. and Mrs. Bouton made daily trips to Phoenix to buy sides of beef and fresh vegetables and other staples and supplies in bulk for the cafeteria operations. Mr. Bouton also served as accountant for the lunchroom.
